Do you want to be part of the nature guardians network? Registrations have already opened

Registration runs until September 15th

The “Network of Women Guardians of Nature and Sustainable Development of the Rural World” project will be implemented in eight protected areas from north to south of the country and registration is already open.

The objective is «to create a network of Women who can identify, catalyze and coordinate the implementation of intervention projects in rural areas, especially in protected areas, and who can be local drivers of regeneration and recovery of ecosystems and biodiversity, sustainable use of endogenous resources and the transition to a low-carbon economy that is resistant to climate change», explains the organization.

The project will be implemented in the Ria Formosa, Guadiana Valley, Sado Estuary, S. Jacinto Dunes, Paul de Arzila, Serra da Estrela, Montesinho and the North Coast Natural Park.

In each of these territories, the organization intends to identify 12 women guardians to join the Network and participate in a training program taking place in October and November, where the guardians will be able to develop and consolidate their projects.

In addition, the project will seek to create the bases for the implementation of these intervention projects in the territory, promoted by women, involving local communities.

Entries can be made on here, until September 15rd.
