André Gomes, recently sworn in as president of Turismo do Algarve, will meet in Lisbon, tomorrow, 17 August, at 15 pm, with Francisco Calheiros, president of the Confederation of Tourism of Portugal (CTP).
The purpose of the meeting is, among other pressing matters, to put into perspective the holding of the CTP National Conference this year in the Algarve, on the occasion of the World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on the 27th of September, with the President of Turismo do Algarve also assuming one of the vice-presidencies of the CTP.
In a statement, Turismo do Algarve stresses that André Gomes intends to "officially meet with the main entities of the tourism sector at national and regional level to discuss structural issues related to the beginning of his term of office and with tourist activity in the region, this being the first of these meetings".
