Olhãopesca once again reinforced the “need to take urgent measures in the fishing port of Olhão, namely in repaving the interior accesses to the port (work areas), as well as the lack of entry/access control to the enclosure with the permanent closure of the main entrances'.
In a note sent to the editorial office of the Sul Informação, Olhãopesca says that the administration of Docapesca has informed that these measures may be implemented after the completion of the requalification work on Avenida 16 de Junho, and adds that «the interior accesses to the fishing port (work areas) are increasingly degraded, the image, the lack of conditions in circulation, the insecurity, the indignity are very similar to any underdeveloped country, which does not at all credit the people and institutions responsible».
In addition, Olhãopesca says that «entrance to the port is uncontrolled» to the point that «the enclosure is used as a car park».
«Since the renovation work on Avenida 16 de Junho has been completed, Olhãopesca once again requests the administration of Docapesca – Portos e Lotas to take urgent measures to give the fishing port of Olhão the dignity it deserves, as a reference fishing port», reads the note.
