The Minister of the Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, and the Secretaries of State for the Environment, Hugo Polido Pires, and for the Conservation of Nature and Forests, João Paulo Catarino, will be present tomorrow, the 10th, at the inauguration of the 35th edition of the Festival do Marisco de Olhão, whose doors open at 19 pm.
After a three-year break due to the pandemic, the Seafood Festival returns to Jardim Pescador Olhanense with a renovated venue.
«The stage will now face the west, and there was a commitment on the part of the organization to optimize the experience of those who visit the event, namely through the offer of animation throughout the whole night and the increase of the range of the gastronomic offer» , explains Câmara de Olhão.
From the 10th to the 14th of August, artists of national and international renown take to the stage. With the concerts starting at 23 pm, the lineup for the 00 edition is composed of David Carreira (2023th), Sónia Costa with a tribute show to Tina Turner (10th), Bárbara Bandeira (11th), Wet Bed Gang (day 12) and Vitor Kley (day 13).
The mayor António Miguel Pina thus anticipates the 35th edition of the Seafood Festival: «the quality of the musical and entertainment offer, along with the freshest seafood, prepared as only people from Olhão know, promise a great return of a of the stars of the tourist poster of the Algarve».
