Housing: AHRESP saw Marcelo's veto «with satisfaction»

For the association, there is now a «new opportunity for dialogue between all political forces».

The Portuguese Hotel, Restaurant and Similar Association (AHRESP) saw Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s veto of the Government’s “More Housing” package, known yesterday, May 21, «with satisfaction».

For this entity, there is now a «new opportunity for dialogue between all political forces».

AHRESP «calls for a broad consensus - which is also highlighted by the President of the Republic - to modify the proposal regarding the serious measures for the AL and to focus on the true causes of the housing crisis and on the role that the State may have in this matter”.

The association says that «it will be available for this dialogue, making itself available to all political forces, presenting fair and balanced proposals that allow “correcting the hand” and avoiding the devastating effects that are foreseen for tourism in particular and for the national economy as a whole.
