“Calvário em Festa” with another Folklore Festival

The 41st Folklore Festival “Calvário em Festa” will take place on the 12th of August, at 21:00 at the Recinto de Festas do Calvário, in Lagoa.

The initiative will count on the participation of the Folklore Ranch of Landeira, Singers of Aldeia Nova de S. Bento, Ethnographic Group Danças e Cantares do Minho, Folklore Racho of Benfica do Ribatejo and Folklore Racho of Calvário.

As part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of Lagoa, «this is a celebration that promotes cultural pride and mutual understanding between different communities, enriching the cultural identity of the region and the country as a whole», says the City Council.
