São Bartolomeu de Messines will be «À Babuja» at the theater

Show «consists of a creation from scratch designed for the whole family, with a strong musical component»

“À Babuja”, the traveling show by the Algarve company LAMA Teatro, will be presented on Wednesday, July 26, at 21 pm, at Largo da Igreja, in São Bartolomeu de Messines.

On a tour of the municipality of Silves, which this time has the support of the Parish of São Bartolomeu de Messines, «this could just be a project by the sea, as the name implies. The idea, however, is to keep that as a starting point, but to be much more: an itinerant project, appealing to many audiences, of great plastic rigor, and that makes known some regional treasures».

«It's a fun show, inspired by Cervantes' classic, 'Don Quixote de la Mancha'. We enter the imagination of this “Algarvian” hero, where the buoys are transformed into armour, the umbrellas into windmills and the van into a horse. On this adventure, we dance in the dunes, park the donkey at the restaurant and look for Dulcineia's maiden's foot», explains LAMA Teatro.

The show «consists of a creation from scratch designed for the whole family, with a strong musical component, and it will explore a physical, onomatopoeic and clownish language. It is a universally understandable show due to its physical, musical and visual language».
