House rents rise 4,6% in June year-on-year

The region with the highest positive monthly change was the North (0,5%)

House rents per square meter increased by 4,6% in June compared to the same month of 2022, accelerating compared to the 4,5% of the previous month and with all regions showing year-on-year increases, INE announced today.

According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in June “all regions showed positive year-on-year changes in housing rents, with the Autonomous Region of Madeira registering the most intense increase (5,1%)”.

As for the average value of housing rents per square meter, it recorded a monthly change of 0,4%, the same value as in the previous month.

The region with the highest positive monthly change was the North (0,5%), with no region having seen a negative change in the respective average value of housing rents.
