Almost eight thousand teachers will join the Ministry of Education this year, the majority through the new dynamic linkage mechanism, announced today the Minister João Costa.
"This year alone, thanks to the newly created dynamic linkage, joined by teachers linked by the brake rule, 7.983 teachers will no longer be on precarious contracts", said the Minister of Education, at a press conference, in Lisbon.
According to the final lists, published today, the majority of teachers (around 5.600) will join the staff through the dynamic appointment mechanism, one of the novelties of the new system for managing and recruiting teachers and which allows teachers to be integrated into the staff as they accumulate the equivalent of three years of service.
There are still around 2.400 teachers who work through the so-called brake norm.
The number is, however, below the initial expectations of the Ministry of Education, since, between the two contests, there were 10.624 posts available.
