Concerts by Domingos Caetano and Mónica Sintra are the high point of the celebrations for the 26th anniversary of the parish of Ferreiras (Albufeira), which, on the 15th and 16th of July, once again liven up Largo da Nora. With free admission, the entertainment starts at 19 pm.
This year, there are several new features. First, the MTB Tour organized by the MTB Club “Amigos de Albufeira”, starting and ending at Largo da Nora.
There are also fireworks to end the celebrations with a beautiful show.
Dance is once again present with the local talents of Futebol Clube Ferreiras. In the enclosure, there will be taverns, regional sweets, handicrafts, birthday cake and lots of entertainment.
As for music, in addition to Domingos Caetano, from the band Íris, and Mónica Sintra, there is also Nuno Balbino and the Duo Musical Ana & Edgar.
Located in the center of the municipality of Albufeira, the parish of Ferreiras was created in 1997 with places detached from the parishes of Albufeira, Guia and Paderne.
With a population of over 7250 inhabitants, according to the 2021 census, it is one of the parishes that has grown the most in terms of population in the municipality.
The Ferreiras station and the Church of São José are some of the heritage elements that stand out in the parish.
The festivities are organized by the Ferreiras Parish Council, with the support of Albufeira City Council, local businesses and Ferreiras associations.
