Young people aged 20 and 22 arrested in Portimão for drug trafficking

The action resulted in the seizure of several doses of drugs.

Two young people, aged 20 and 22, were arrested in the municipality of Portimão, on the 8th of July, for drug trafficking. 

During a road inspection action, the Guard military ordered a vehicle in which the two individuals were to stop, since it had been detected by the radar in excess of speed.

According to the GNR, the driver did not respect the stop order and continued driving along the A22. The youngsters ended up being caught a few kilometers later, with the military on guard carrying out a security check and a search of the vehicle. The action culminated in the arrest of the two men for possession of several doses of drugs.

The action resulted in the apprehension of 37,21 doses of liamba, 17,35 doses of cocaine, 141,30 doses of undifferentiated product, two bottles of nitrous oxide, 4 euros in cash, three mobile phones and a vehicle.

The detainees were made defendants and the facts communicated to the Judicial Court of Portimão.

The action included the reinforcement of the military of the criminal investigation structure, namely the Crimes Investigation Nucleus in Traffic Accidents of the Detachment of Traffic of Faro.
