João Rodrigues re-elected president of Farense

João Rodrigues collected a total of 520 votes

João Rodrigues was re-elected this Thursday, July 6th, president of Farense, in an electoral act that had the participation of 220 members. 

João Rodrigues collected a total of 520 votes (some members have more than one vote).

There were also eight nulls and four whites.

João Rodrigues' board of directors resigned at the end of June, but ran for re-election. From the team, only one name was changed: the entry of Ricardo Gião as an alternate director.

Rui Gomes and António Correia remain as vice-presidents.

After taking office, João Rodrigues said that this mandate, which lasts until 2027, will be “very important for the future of Farense”.

«The madness that Farense had in the past even today, 20 or 30 years later, we are paying», he added.

Even so, the president of Farense recognized that the Algarve currently has «a vitality like few others», with 5 members.

João Rodrigues is also the president of SAD do Farense.
