The promotional film “Welcome to Lagoa” was nominated for the ITFF – International Tour Film Festival, which takes place in Civitavecchia, Italy.
According to Pietro Pacchiarotti, president of ITTF23, the promotional video is nominated for best film, in the Tourism category, among more than 15 promotional videos from various countries.
It is the first time that a tourist promotion film, produced by the Municipality of Lagoa, «achieves this recognition at an international level», points out the Lagoa City Council.
The International Tourism Film Festival (ITTF23) will take place from the 4th to the 8th of October in Civitavecchia, Italy, in what will be the 12th edition of this event dedicated to tourism promotion films.
The film “Welcome to Lagoa” was released on August 20, 2022, at FATACIL – Feira de Artesanato, Turismo, Agricultura, Comércio e Indústria de Lagoa – by the mayor of Lagoa, Luís Encarnação, and has narrated versions in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
“We hope that this is the first of many distinctions and awards that the tourist promotion film “Welcome to Lagoa” can collect in 2023. It is very prestigious for us to see our destination and the way we want to promote it distinguished at this Festival” says Luís Encarnação.
In addition to ITTF23, the Municipality of Lagoa submitted the film “Welcome to Lagoa” to the International Tourism Film Festival Africa, Japan World's Tourism Film Festival, New York Festivals, US International Awards, Silafest, Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity, Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, Zagreb TourFilm Festival, ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival, Amorgos Tourism Film Festival.
