Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Fisheries launches magazine “Saborear o Algarve”

Distributed free of charge tomorrow, together with the newspaper «Público», in newsstands across the country

Oranges, carob, olive oil, wines, cheeses, fish are some of the Algarve products that are featured in the magazine “Saborear o Algarve”, which the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve (DRAP Algarve) launches tomorrow , with the newspaper «Público», on newsstands across the country.

It is, according to DRAP Algarve, a publication «especially dedicated to the promotion of the Mediterranean Diet and the agro-food and fisheries products of the region».

The magazine “Saborear o Algarve” has as its main objective to promote the Algarve’s exceptional endogenous resources, «highlighting their quality, variety and origin», in addition to publicizing the Mediterranean Diet, «in order to inspire and encourage people to enjoy these unique flavors in their daily lives while adhering to the dietary pattern considered to be healthier and more environmentally sustainable».

DRAP Algarve, the entity responsible for publishing the magazine, says its main objective is to «support and promote the sustainable development of agriculture and fishing in the region».

To this end, he adds, "disseminating and valuing local products is essential, as it helps to boost and diversify the local economy and preserve the tradition and gastronomic culture of the Algarve".

DRAP Algarve invites all Mediterranean Diet enthusiasts and lovers of the region to enjoy the magazine “Saborear o Algarve” and discover the variety of products related to the Mediterranean Diet that the Algarve has to offer and share them on social networks by identifying @DRAP Algarve or by posting a comment on DRAP Algarve Facebook page.
