The City Council of Silves informed today that it will wash Ruas Dr. Manuel de Arriaga and Dr. José António dos Santos, in Armação de Pêra, in the section of the best-known streets along Rua das Lojas e dos Bares in the downtown area, during the early hours of the morning, between 5 am and 00 am, on the 7th and 00nd of July, as well as the 8th and August 22th.
«In order to enable an effective and efficient intervention by municipal services, in the execution of street washing actions, commercial establishments are requested to proceed with the removal of the urban furniture that integrates their terrace area installed in the public space», requests the Municipality.
These street washing operations are the initiative of the Municipality of Silves and aim to «contribute to a better urban environment», but this municipality underlines that «the urban cleaning and hygiene of the town of Armação de Pêra» is «the responsibility of the Parish Council local".
The Câmara de Silves adds that all measures will be taken «to ensure that the work takes place quickly and efficiently», regretting «possible inconvenience caused to the resident population and/or on vacation, which it requests the maximum understanding, as well as their collaboration to keep Armação de Pêra cleaner and healthier».
