Tavira: Deana Barroqueiro invites you to “Travel the Algarve through the History of Paladares”

Admission is free and open to the general public.

Writer Deana Barroqueiro will be speaking this Friday, June 16, at the Sotavento Delegation of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture in Tavira, to “Roll the Algarve through the History of Palate”.

The program includes a visit to the CEAT Fruit Collections, at 9 am, and a visit to the exhibition “O Posto Agrário de Tavira” at the end of the session.

This is a joint organization of DRAP Algarve and the International Association of Paremiology.

Entrance is free and open to the general public.

Writer Deana Barroqueiro received the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards (Series), – Award for the best cookbook in the world in 2022, with the trilogy “História dos Paladares”.

It was awarded five world prizes, including the Oscar of the Gourmand World Awards, for the Best Gastronomy Book Series in the World (among 227 countries), an award that had never been won by Portugal.

From the selection of 62 countries, in the last phase of this Contest, the books snatched the Gourmand Best in the World 2022 – Series award, beating the final 11 competitors in that category.

It is again nominated for the Gourmand Best in the World Awards Oscar, which will be unveiled soon in Sweden.

The International Association of Paremiology (AIP-IAP) – is a non-profit cultural institution, unique of its kind worldwide, accredited by UNESCO as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and which promotes the UNESCO Club of Paremiology-Tavira ( CUP-T).
