Escutas de Tavira organize another festival

On the 15th of July, next to the Municipal Market of Tavira, from 18 pm

Grouping 100 de Tavira of the Corpo Nacional de Escutas will hold its 15th Scout Arraial, on the XNUMXth of July, next to the Municipal Market of Tavira (former dock space).

After the success of the three previous editions (held in 2018, 2019 and 2022) Arraial returns with a view to bringing the group closer to the local community, «this being one of the fundraising campaigns for the regular activities of the group».

Scheduled to start at 18 pm and with free entrance, there will be no shortage of snails, bifanas, among other specialties.

«This event is part of the fundraising campaigns for participation in the World Camp in 2023, a camp that emerged as an idea of the Founder of Scouting, Baden-Powell, after the First World War. He idealized this activity as a meeting of friendship and scout expertise, where young people from all over the world could live together for several days and share their friendship for the largest youth movement in the world», explains the Tavira Grouping.

In August, the 25th World Jamboree takes place, which takes place in Saemangeum, Jeollabuk-do province, in South Korea, organized by the South Korean Scouts, with more than 50 thousand scouts from all over the world.

The Corpo Nacional de Escutas – Escutismo Católico Português is an association created in 1923 whose purpose is the integral education of children and young people of both genders, based on adult volunteering, which has more than 70 thousand members nationwide and more than 40 million worldwide.
