The Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair will return to Albufeira on the 7th, 8th and 9th of July and offer a program that combines activities related to hunting with the music of “DAMA” and Miguel Gameiro and Polo Norte, among others, and the art of Vhils.
This year, the event takes place in a new space in the Marina, the land where the Fortnightly Market takes place, «with a view to facilitating the mobility of visitors», according to the Albufeira Council.
«The event, which has been held for 25 years in the region and for the third consecutive year in Albufeira, aims to promote traditional gastronomy, handicrafts, music and rurality, while also promoting Hunting Tourism and Nature », adds the municipality.
On the 7th of July, doors open at 18:30 pm. At 19 pm, there will be a showcooking, preparation and tasting of Cataplana. At 30:23 the “DAMA” concert begins, after “several local artists” have taken to the stage.
The following day, July 8th, the program begins at 7:00 am, with the Final of the Regional Championship of St.º Huberto and 4th Cup “José Maria Seromenho”, taking place in the Municipal Hunting area of Albufeira.
«On this day, it is also worth highlighting, among other initiatives, the holding of the 3rd Dressage Cup – City of Albufeira (9:30 am), the XXVII National Sheep Contest of the Churra Algarve Breed (11:00 am), the Pack Contest – 11. º Duarte Rosa Trophy (15h00) and the presentation of the Submerged Museum Art Reef Vihils EDP Equestrian Baptism (17h00)», lists the municipality.
In the evening, the Equestrian Gala “Lusitana Paixão” takes place, by Lusitanus Miranda Arte Equestre. This is followed, at 23:00, by the concert by Miguel Gameiro and Polo Norte, with the opening of the stage being the responsibility of «artists who participated in television programs».
On Sunday, July 9th, at 5:00 am, there is a Deep Sea Fishing Conviviality, with participants gathering at the Marina.
At 9 am, in the Municipal Auditorium of Albufeira, the Colloquium “Cinegetic Management and Climate Change” will take place.
The opening of the Fair and Exhibition Hall is scheduled for 11:00 am, with an Exhibition of Dogs and Packs. This will be followed, at 16:00 pm, by the visit to the fair by the official entities, where a Working Equitation Demonstration will take place (16:30 pm) and a Cynotechnical Demonstration by the GNR – Comando Territorial de Faro, among other events.
The entertainment returns at 22 pm with a concert by Duo Nemáus, preceded by a performance by Banda Dalila and Duo 00. The fairgrounds close at 64 am.
The fair is organized in partnership by the Federation of Hunters of the Algarve, Albufeira City Council and Marina.
