Motocross returns to Cortelha on May 7

More than 120 riders are expected in the different classes, some of them from the Algarve

The third round of the Centro/South Motocross Championship of Portugal will take place this Sunday, May 7th, in Cortelha (Loulé).

More than 120 riders are expected in the different classes, some of them from the Algarve.

The Algar Motocross Circuit, which this year hosts the third round of the Center/South Championship of Portugal, in the MX1, MX2, Women and Classic classes, as well as the MX65 and MX85 National Championship, «has undergone several changes and improvements, with the novelty of creating new and spectacular jumps, which will delight everyone who follows this sport», says the organization.

With regard to race schedules, training for the various classes begins from 8:30 am, so that in mid-morning, around 11:00 am, the official races begin, with the “starting shot” being given by the female class.

The awards ceremony is expected to take place at 18 pm, thus enshrining the winners of the Cortelha Motocross race.

Tickets for entry to the Circuito Motocross Algar, in Cortelha, can be purchased at the ticket offices at the entrance to the venue.

The organization of this race is in charge of the Associação dos Amigos da Cortelha, with the seal of approval of the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation and the support of the Municipality of Loulé, Parish Council of Salir e Algar, among other entities.
