Is a resident of the city of Faro and you want your roof terrace to host activities or even a show by Açoteia – Faro Rooftop Festival, which will take place on the 7th and 8th of July? If so, you can now submit an application to that effect to the Chamber of Deputies. Faro.
The challenge of the Municipality of Faro is launched to «entities and people», who are invited to provide «roof terraces of different sizes and types, which due to their location, construction or typology, or the way they are being used, can be differentiating and appealing for a visit or even be one of the “stages” of this event, which must be located within a radius of approximately two kilometers from the city center».
«In case of selection, the organization will ensure with the owners of the buildings (public or private) the conditions of security and access to the space during the festival», according to the Chamber of Faro, which organizes the event in partnership with associations and local and regional entities.
Within the scope of Açoteia«, it will be possible, during these two days, to visit a set of iconic roof terraces that, as a rule, are not accessible to the public, where it will be possible to watch artistic performances, exhibitions, sensory experiences, learn about good practices in the use of roof terraces , participating in debates, lectures and experiences, or simply enjoying the landscape from another level».
This festival is part of the European Network of Creative Açoteias, a network created from Faro and which brings together 9 cities from eight countries in the reflection and strategic development of actions to be carried out in these spaces.
