Yesterday, March 20, the GNR seized four illegal gambling machines and accused two women and one man, aged between 37 and 64, in the municipality of Almancil.
The steps took place within the scope of an inspection of catering and beverage establishments and 126 euros in cash and various material related to the practice of illegal gambling were also seized.
The inspection action resulted in five administrative offense notices related to the operation of the establishments.
The suspects were made defendants and the facts communicated to the Judicial Court of Loulé.
In a note, the GNR recalls that games of chance are those whose result is based exclusively or fundamentally on luck, "being their exploitation and practice only allowed in casinos and in duly authorized and licensed places".
