“Posto Agrário de Tavira (1926-1974)” is the title of the book and exhibition that will be presented next Friday, February 17th, at 16 pm, in Tavira, at the Sotavento Delegation of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve .
The book is authored by Ignácio Garcia Pereda, researcher (FCT-CEEC) at CIUHCT – Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology, Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Master in Forestry Engineering and PhD in History of Science.
The exhibition will be based on «the content of the book and various information collected in a research work carried out by technicians from DRAP Algarve» and «marks the main moments in the history of the Posto Agrário and disseminates a wide collection of documentation from the archive of this Regional Directorate , with the aim of honoring the memory and work of so many men and women who, over generations, have built the history and identity of the current Centro de Experimentação Agrária de Tavira (CEAT)».
