Infralobo earns certification in Environmental Management System

For Carlos Manso, CEO of Infralobo, «achieving this objective is part of the strategy of providing high quality essential public services»

The municipal company Infralobo obtained ccertification in Environmental Management System. 

According to Infralobo, "this certification takes place in the year in which the company reaches 25 years of age, fully aligned with the objectives and requirements required by the standard, as part of the strategy to combat climate change in the Municipality of Loulé".

By being certified by NP ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems, Infralobo demonstrates that, «having been subject to a demanding process which includes follow-up audits and verification of the assumptions necessary to achieve the objective, it has presented positive and consistent results ».

For Carlos Manso, CEO of Infralobo, «achieving this objective is part of the strategy of providing high quality essential public services that has allowed very positive results in a 360º view from an environmental point of view, where we highlight the 44% reduction in water used to water public green spaces in two years, a value of unbilled water that in 2022 reaches 6,4%, with Infralobo being the 2nd best water management entity in this matter».

Infralobo also managed to reduce its carbon footprint in the last three years by 55% and also had a reduction in electricity costs by 50% thanks to the Decarbonization Plan that it has in progress.

Infralobo is currently certified by NP ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System, NP ISO 5001:2019 – Energy Management System, by NP 4552:2016 – Management System for Reconciliation between Professional, Family and Personal Life and now by NP ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System.
