ICNF celebrates World Wetlands Day with session at PNRF headquarters

World Wetlands Day is being celebrated in the Algarve, in a session that brings together testimonies from associations and entities in the environmental sector, which is taking place at the headquarters of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, today, the 2nd of February.

The initiative by the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF) lasts until 13 pm, with the release of animals recovered at the RIAS, after being launched at 00:9 am by Joaquim Castelão Rodrigues, regional director for the Conservation of Nature and Forests

Rita Carrasco, from the Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIMA) at the University of the Algarve, Ana Marçalo, from the Algarve Arrojamentos Network, João Silva, from CCMAR – Center for Marine Sciences, Ricardo Correia, from the VitaNativa Association, Pedro Geraldes, from the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA), Vítor H. Paiva, from the Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences (MARE) and representatives of Life Ilhas Barreira were the guests at the session.
