The duo Batatinha & Companhia and the artist Rosinha will be present at the Carnival of Odiáxere (Lagos) which will have two days of revelry: this Sunday, the 19th, and Tuesday, the 21st.
Largo do Moinho, in Odiáxere, will be filled with color and laughter on the 19th of February (15 pm) with the "Children's Carnival", which includes parades, face painting, the Aquarela Mágica show, carousel, inflatables and the presence of the duo Batatoon – Batatinha & Companhia.
The end of the afternoon is reserved for the MT80 – We Rock the 80s concert.
On the 21st of February, Carnival Day, the party starts at 15 pm with traditional masks, humor and social criticism clearly evident in the parade of floats that will feature Humberto Silva, Emanuel and Tânia and the queen of this 00th edition: the singer Rosinha.
Over these days, there will be several dances taking place from 22 pm at the headquarters of the Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere: Marco Filipe on the 00th and Emanuel and Tânia, Cláudio Rosário and Humberto Silva on the 20st.
On Wednesday, the 23rd, the Burial of Shrovetide takes place, going through the streets of the village to mark the end of the carnival celebrations.
The XXVII Carnaval de Odiáxere is organized by the Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere, which has the support of the Municipality of Lagos and the Parish Council of Odiáxere. Entrance costs 2,5 euros, and children under 12 are free.
