PS/Algarve Regional Political Commission took office

Vítor Guerreiro (São Brás de Alportel) was appointed as municipal coordinator

The new Political Commission of the PS/Algarve has already taken office and assumed the construction of the Central Hospital as a «priority of priorities». 

In the first meeting of the main body of the Algarve socialists between congresses, the Regional Political Commission re-elected Isilda Gomes (Portimão) as president of the Board, in which she will be accompanied by Dinis Nascimento (Albufeira) and Ana Magalhães (Faro).

In a note sent to the press, the PS/Algarve says that it trusts Manuel Pizarro, Minister of Health, to be an «active element in the construction process of the Central Hospital of the Algarve, a commitment assumed in the electoral campaign by the candidates of the PS Algarve and registered in the Government Program of the Socialist Party».

As for the new PS Algarve secretariat, it will be composed of Hugo Nunes (Loulé), Joaquina Matos (Lagos), Vítor Guerreiro (São Brás de Alportel), Álvaro Bila (Portimão), Ana Sofia Belchior (Silves), João Mota (Faro), Ricardo Cipriano (Vila Real de Santo António), Ana Palma Almeida (Albufeira), Ana Paula Gonçalves (Olhão), Rúben Palma (Lagoa), Ana Cruz (Vila do Bispo), Célia Brito (Castro Marim), António Carvalho ( Aljezur) and Ana Paula Martins (Tavira), who are joined by João Carlos Simões (Alcoutim), Victor Santos (Monchique), Ana Passos (Faro) and Abel Matinhos (Loulé), representing the mayors of the parishes, trade unionists and the regional structures of Socialist Women – Equality and Rights and Socialist Youth, respectively.

At the same meeting, Vítor Guerreiro was designated as municipal coordinator, being in charge of monitoring the next electoral process.
