Farense thrashed by FC Porto B on the return of II Liga

Farense lost 4-0 to FC Porto B, in a match for the 14th round of the II Football League, played this Wednesday, December 28th.

The opening goal came just after 16 minutes.

After a quick free-kick, Rodrigo Pinheiro shot to make it 1-0, with Ricardo Velho still touching the ball.

Farense could have tied at the start of the second half: at 50', Muscat headed the post, after a lateral free kick.

The Algarve team didn't score... FC Porto B expanded. Nilton Varela received an unmarked pass from Vasco Sousa and, inside the area, spiked the ball in front of Ricardo Velho (65').

This was a return to remember for the Algarve: the 3-0 came minutes later, at 72', in a goal by Marcus Abraham.

The final result was sealed with a new goal by Marcus, at 80'.

With this defeat, Farense has the same 28 points and is in 2nd place in the championship, with a six point advantage over Vilafranquense, which is in 3rd.
