A man suspected of having deceived his family members in a deal worth one hundred thousand euros involving family heritage buildings, in Vila do Bispo, was arrested by the Judiciary Police, following an arrest warrant issued by the DIAP of Loulé.
The detainee, 62 years old and with a record of crimes of the same nature, is suspected of crimes of qualified fraud and aggravated falsification of documents.
According to the Judiciary Police, which carried out the arrest through its Directorate of the South, the alleged fraudster "convinced his relatives to dispose of several properties belonging to the family heritage, located in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, making himself available to carry out the respective regularization and subsequent sale'.
«Then, using forged documents, he sold the properties to third parties, through promissory purchase and sale contracts and simulated donations, so that the businesses did not come to the attention of the victims, receiving the amounts corresponding to the respective payments and appropriating of such amounts, the majority corresponding to down payment, in the estimated amount of almost one hundred thousand euros», according to the PJ.
The man, who lives in the center of the country, will be present at the first judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures.
