São Silvestre Race returns to Quarteira

This year will be the 10th edition of this initiative

The São Silvestre Race is back on the 28th of December, starting at 20 pm, in Quarteira.

This will be the 10th edition of this initiative that will start from Passeio das Dunas.

The São Silvestre Race started in 2011, created and maintained by the Quarteira Night Runners, an informal running and walking group. In the beginning, it had about 50 participants and now there are more than 1000 athletes running through the avenues of Quarteira.

The event includes a route of 5 or 10 kilometers and registration is free. At the end of the tasting, there will be king cake and tea.

This is a joint organization of the Quarteira Night Runners, Free Challenge and the Parish Council of Quarteira and with the support of the Municipality of Loulé and Associação de Atletismo do Algarve.
