“Volunteering and Active Citizenship” is the theme of the next Café com Letras

Cátia Martins and Rui Monteiro are the guests

“Volunteering and Active Citizenship” is the theme of the next Café com Letras, which will take place at FNAC Faro, on Friday, November 18, at 18:30 pm. Admission is free.

The session has the participation of Cátia Martins, assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Algarve, Rui Monteiro, volunteer, moderated by Adriana Nogueira, regional director of Culture of the Algarve.

In this monthly cycle of conversations, current topics are discussed with expert guests and with an audience that actively intervenes.

This time, Cátia Martins, PhD in Psychology, professor at the University of Algarve and coordinator of the UAlg V+ project, and Rui Monteiro, Civil Engineer by training, professor by profession and volunteer since he was 14, provide the dynamics of this meeting.

The challenges, areas of intervention and the profile required for the development of volunteering actions will be addressed. The University of Algarve project encourages active citizenship and the personal experience of those who have been volunteering for decades.

Café com Letras is the result of a partnership between FNAC, the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the Library of the University of Algarve.

This session will be broadcast on RUA FM, under the heading Grande Auditorium, which keeps its doors open to culture, science, knowledge and society.
