A high speed boat, which was loaded with 6 tons, was found by a recreational fisherman on the morning of this Tuesday, November 1, about 5 miles south of Barra do Lavajo (Armona).

Portuguese Navy source told the Sul Informação that the information was received around 10:45 am.

Agents from the Local Commands of the Maritime Police of Olhão and Tavira were mobilized to the scene, who found that the boat, which was carrying 180 bales of drugs, had no one on board.

With the support of NRP Hidra, the vessel was towed to the commercial pier in Faro.

Also last Saturday, a high-speed boat was found, adrift, in Vila Real de Santo António, with the bales washed ashore.
