Speedboat found adrift must be linked to hashish bales

Navy ship that helped in the investigation ended up finding a vessel adrift

A high-speed vessel adrift, with no one inside, was found this Saturday by NRP Hidra, in the area between Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António, announced the Navy.

Everything indicates that this speedboat is on to 15 bales of hashish, totaling 595 kilos of drugs, which this morning were found on the sands of Santo António beach, in Vila Real de Santo António.

NRP Hidra was today committed to assisting the National Maritime Authority in the investigation into the appearance of these bales.

The vessel found adrift was towed by the ship to the dock of Faro, where it will be delivered to the Southern Marine Zone Command.
