Farense loses to Leixões and is eliminated from the Portuguese Cup

There are no more Algarve teams in competition

Farense was eliminated from the Portuguese Cup by Leixões, after being defeated in Matosinhos by 3-1, today, Wednesday, November 9th.

The last Algarve team in the competition made a lot of savings from players usually starting, in the clash with a team that also militates in the II League, and ended up paying the bill.

The first goal of Matosinhos' team was scored in the 30th minute, by João Oliveira.

Soon after, at 33, Ricardo Valente put the home team up 2-0.

The same player had to score twice in the 55th minute, bringing the score to 3-0.

Cláudio Falcão still had to score the goal of honor, at 83 minutes, but the elimination of Farense was consummated shortly afterwards.
