The SIRB – Sociedade de Instrução e Recreio Barreirense “Os Penicheiros”, in Barreiro, hosts, this Friday, the 18th of November, a show by the Algarve band As Moçoilas.
Inês Rosa, Margarida Guerreiro and Teresa Silva are the three women who make up As Moçoilas. sing mostly a cappella, reinterpreting many of the old themes and enriching them with their own energy, modifying some, revisiting others and paving the way for new melodies and new songs.
The Moçoilas have more than 28 years of prestigious existence and full of adventures, successes, experiences and sharing of memories.
«Okay, why not?» is the latest album from this collective. The work reconnects experiences, brings to light the voices of women from the mountains and rekindles memories of other times. Times of heavy experiences, but now revived in the form of new and happy sounds, which do not forget the disappointments of life, but which transform them into a reflection of the strength and tenacity typical of women from the south. The result is a creative mix, where the traditional and the modern come together.
The show at Os Penicheiros starts at 22:00. Tickets cost 5 euros for those who purchase 24 hours in advance. For those who buy on the same day, tickets cost 7,50 euros for the general public and 5 euros for SIRB members.
