First journey disturbed by rain

The young Milla Sequeira signed, this Sunday, the first victory of a Portuguese tennis player in the Loulé Ladies Open, an international women's tournament worth 25.000 dollars that the Loulé Tennis Club organizes, with the support of the Loulé City Council and the Portuguese Tennis Federation , between the 16th and 23rd of October.

In a duel between two young Portuguese women, Milla Sequeira (19 years old) defeated debutant Bárbara Brito (15 years old), who played for the first time in professional tournaments, with the partials of 6-1 and 6-2.

This Sunday's victory was the sixth of the year and of his career in ITF tournaments for Milla Sequeira. German Chantal Sauvant (586th in the WTA ranking) will be her opponent in the second of three qualifying rounds.

This Sunday's journey was disturbed by rain, which only made it possible to conclude six of the eight scheduled meetings, with the rest being interrupted and postponed until Monday.

Among those who finished, the highlights were the eliminations of Amália Suciu (also making her debut on the professional circuit) and Raquel Álvaro in the first round of the qualifying round.
