Contemporary circus and theater in a «magical environment». This is what you can expect from the 2nd edition of the Emraizart Festival, which takes place from the 17th to the 23rd of October, in Cotifo (Lagos).
Aimed at children and youth, Emraizart seeks the «sustainable development of cities with nature».
Keeping the same structure as the 1st edition, weekdays are reserved for school groups and weekends for the general public. The school public will have the opportunity to participate in workshops in four different areas: permaculture, circus, crafts and music.
This year, the program includes “Solo de Dos” by Duo x Caso (Italy/Austria), an acrobatic circus show, clown and gestural theater with puppets, and “Sin Measures” by CorrequeteJano Company (Spain) a mix of juggling, acrobatics, comedy and participatory theater.
On Saturday, “A História do Circo” will be presented by Circo Vagamundo, and on Sunday “Catadupa”, by Rita Rodrigues.
During all days of the festival, public transport to the venue is made by bus, with no other vehicles allowed.

The Emraizart festival is organized by the Teatro Experimental de Lagos and has the support of the Municipality of Lagos and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
