Contests, performing arts, music, dance, face painting, ghostly parades and a Spooky Run mark the Albufeira Municipality's Halloween program.
As in previous editions, Largo Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco, Rua 5 de Outubro and Avenida Sá Carneiro will be meticulously decorated, in a setting where there is no shortage of the Tunnel of Horrors and frightening characters.
«This is yet another initiative that confirms that Albufeira is very attractive throughout the year and that Halloween, despite not being an originally Portuguese tradition, is here to stay», says the Mayor, taking the opportunity to thank the merchants and other partners. , «without whom the event would not have been possible».
On Saturday, October 29, at 20:30 pm, on the stage of Largo Eng. Duarte Pacheco will parade the competitors of the “Original Pumpkin” and the “Most Beautiful Monster” contests, followed at 21:30 pm by the performance “O Castelo do Mago” by Associação Satori, an adaptation of the legend of the Mouras Encantadas. to the spirit of Halloween.
On Rua 5 de Outubro, DJ Serginho will perform at 22 pm, accompanied by Halloween cocktails by the Barmen Association of Albufeira.
On the second day, October 30th, the stage of Largo Eng. Duarte Pacheco receives a show full of rhythm by KIDS – Karen`s International Dance Studios.
And on Monday, the 31st, the celebrations start earlier, at 19:00 pm, with a ghostly parade that will travel through the downtown area, accompanied by the Albufeira Volunteer Firefighters Fanfare, zombies, fire-breathers, dancers, walkers and other characters. , which is joined by Banda Al Fanfare.
At 20:00, from Largo Eng. Duarte Pacheco, the Spooky Run takes place. The initiative has two routes (7 and 4 kilometers) to choose from. It is organized by the Clube Desportivo das Areias S. João, with the support of the Albufeira City Council and in partnership with Caminhadas ao Luar, LiberMed, and Horta da Orada.
Around dinner time, at 21 pm, Piri Piri & Co challenges participants to the “Asinhas infernais” contest, followed by a performance by the local band Diébe Band.
The entertainment continues at Largo Eng.o Duarte Pacheco, with DJ Henrique Pontes, from 23:30 pm. Also on Rua 5 de Outubro,
