A presentation and clarification session on the public tender for the concession of Café Calcinha, in Loulé, will take place this Wednesday, September 21, at 17:30 pm.
The initiative will take place at Calcinha.
At this moment it takes place yet another tender for the concession of this emblematic coffee which has been closed for a few months now. The specifications, moreover, have been a subject of contention between the municipality and the opposition.
Despite having reopened in 2017, after extensive works, Calcinha was once again the target of interventions in the structure of the building that were recently completed.
According to the Loulé Chamber, the coffee is “in a position to regain life and be returned to the enjoyment of residents and visitors, in order to contribute to the attractiveness of those who visit Loulé”.
The objective of the municipality is “to find a new dealership that brings Calcinha back to the life of the city, following assumptions similar to the previous ones, maintaining the appreciation of the space as a historical and architectural element”.
Café Calcinha integrates the Route of Cafés with History, the European Route of Historic Cafés, the Shops with History and the Comércio com História platform.
