Registration for the second Triathlon Cross Cidade de Tavira, to be held on the 10th of September, ends today, announced the Clube de Vela de Tavira.
The competition is aimed at people over 16 years old and is organized by Clube Vela de Tavira with the support of the Municipality of Tavira and the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth.
The Triathlon Cross event, which will take place along the River Gilão, consists of three segments: swimming, mountain biking and running. Swimming will have a course of 750 meters, the mountain bike is 17 thousand meters and the race is 4800 meters.
The transition park will be located in the Skate park of Tavira.
The Cross City of Tavira Triathlon will feature prominent names such as Prof. Carlos Cabrita (Louletano), XTerra world champion (Triathlon Cross) in 2017 and current national triathlon Cross champion, in his age group.
In addition, Alexandre Cabrita (Louletano), national triathlon Cross champion in 2021, will be present in the age group and the champion Rocio Espada (Training Tri), several times Andalusian champion of Triathlon and Duathlon, the triathlete João Chagas (Outsystems Olímpico de Oeiras), Nelson Mestre (Lusitano) and Nuno Neves (Louletano) who are candidates to win the absolute general classification.
This weekend also takes place the VII Mediterranean Diet Fair.
