A 28-year-old man was arrested yesterday, the 12th, in Portimão, for drug trafficking, and cocaine and hashish were seized from him.
The arrest was made by elements of the Criminal Investigation Squadron of the PSP in Portimão, following a surveillance action on the suspect, which allowed “strong indications that a drug transaction was taking place”.
In the police action that followed, it was possible to seize “498 doses of hashish, 164 doses of cocaine, 4020 euros suspected to be derived from illicit activity and two precision scales”.
The detainee will be present before the Judiciary Authority today, to find out what coercive measures he will be subject to.
