CHUA promotes Obstetrics Days

The days are organized by the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of the Portimão Unit of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA)

The Obstetrics Days of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) will take place from 30 September to 1 October, at the Portimão Museum. 

Aimed especially at intern doctors and specialists in general and family medicine, this training aims to promote the autonomy of these professionals in the areas of Obstetrics and Family Planning, promoting scientific debate between specialists in the various areas of intervention, with the aim of promoting greater articulation between hospital specialty and primary health care.

In the two days of the course, real clinical cases will be presented and discussed, focusing on the main themes of clinical practice in the area of ​​Obstetrics, such as pre-conception, pregnancy and postpartum. Family planning will also be covered in practical courses on contraception.

The days are organized by the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of the Portimão Unit of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA), in partnership with the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve, through ACES Algarve II – Barlavento, and with the Association of Training and Research at the Maternity Hospital of the Western Algarve (AFIMBA).
