Bruno Gonçalves, the tornado hunter, shows “Extremus” in Ferragudo

The exhibition will be open until the 29th of July

The photography exhibition “Extremus – A Photographic Look at the Extremes of our Planet”, by Bruno Gonçalves, tornado hunter, opens next Monday, July 4, at 18:00 pm, at the Casa do Real Compromisso Marítimo, in Ferragudo (Lagoa).

The exhibition will be open from the 5th to the 29th of July, every working day, from 16 pm to 00 pm.

Bruno Gonçalves, an Environmental Engineer by profession, residing in Silves and passionate about the extreme phenomena of the atmosphere, started taking photographs of some thunderstorms in the Algarve a few years ago.

Today, he visits other territories in search of the most severe storms on the planet, namely in the well-known “Tornado Alley” in the United States, as well as volcanoes, as was the case with Cumbre Vieja.

The exhibition wants to «show this more intense, but beautiful, side of the power of our Planet Earth, through the eyes of a photographer of storms and severe events», says the Câmara de Lagoa.
