International Blues Festival returns to Lethes Theater

The event has the support of the Chamber of Faro, the Union of Parishes of Sé and São Pedro and the Lethes Theater

The International Blues Festival of Faro is back from this Friday, 20th of May, and promises to bring together «renowned musicians and bands» at the Lethes Theater. 

On the first day, the voice and harmonica of Marcos Coll (Spain/Germany) will be joined by Daryl Taylor (United States of America) on vocals and bass, Kid Carlos (Spain) on guitar, and Rico McClarrin (United States). from America) on vocals and drums.

According to the organizers of the festival, «the musicians form a band of superior quality where everyone shares the central place on stage», this being a «show that covers the classics of blues, funk, soul and Latin music».

João Godinho, programmer of the initiative, highlights the importance of the show on Saturday, the 21st: the launch of TerraSul's latest work, entitled "Encruzilhadas" by musicians Ricardo J. Martins (Portuguese guitar) and Vítor Bacalhau, (electric ), both from the Algarve.

Both shows have an estimated duration of 90 minutes.

Tickets have a daily value (for members and non-members of Associação Blues a Sul) of 10 euros and, for both days, 18 euros (non-members) and 16 euros (members).

During the eight years of the International Blues Festival of Faro, the district capital has already hosted several performances in this context, including, among others, The Travellin Brothers, Guitar Not So Slim, Budda Guedes, Felix Slim and Sidney Ellis.
