Nautical Station of Faro organizes conference on the sea

The conference has two panels

The “Mar” conference will take place this Thursday, May 5, from 14:15 pm, at the 3HB hotel, within the scope of Farnáutica – Mostra do mar e da nautica de Faro. 

This event, organized by Estação Náutica de Faro, wants to make known the views of specialists from various areas on the challenges and opportunities that the sea presents, allowing the creation of value in a sustainable way.

The conference has two panels, admission is free, but registration is required here

Ana Margarida Leal, from the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Fisheries, and Adelino Canário, professor at the University of Algarve and chairman of the board of the Center for Marine Sciences, will participate in the first panel. in the county of Faro.

The second panel, dedicated to economic activities linked to the sea, will be attended by Miguel Cardoso, from Olhãopesca, Rui Roque, from Nautiber, Christopher Barrett, linked to the Kepler Project – Carbon Recapture, António Marques Vital, president of APECATE – Portuguese Association of Congress Companies , Tourist Entertainment and Events, and Miguel Silveira, from MadeinSea.

The moderation of the panels will be in charge of Hugo Rodrigues, journalist of Sul Informação, and Luís Coelho, professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Algarve.

A Farnáutica – Exhibition of the sea and nautical Faro is an annual event, whose organization has been interrupted in the last two years, due to Covid-19, which aims to reinforce the affirmation of Faro as a nautical destination.

This event takes place again this year, with an exhibition space in Jardim Manuel Bivar, from the 5th to the 8th of May, with the Municipality of Faro, as the Coordinating entity of the Nautical Station of Faro, to join your organization.
