30 Brazilian businessmen were, this Sunday, May 15, at the Municipal Market of Faro, where they got to know the potential of the county.
This delegation brings together representatives of various entities in the Brazilian municipality of Barueri – a city in the State of São Paulo with over 300 inhabitants, recognized as one of the most dynamic in the region.
The visit was part of the ACIB Europe Mission, a business tour of the Algarve region, which takes place from the 13th to the 21st of May, promoted by the Barueri Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIB) with the aim of getting to know the business potential of the region. The Brazilian delegation is led by Moacyr Felix, president of ACIB, and includes entrepreneurs and business managers from various entities, in diverse sectors such as education, insurance, tourism, technology, accounting, real estate and others.
The first stage of this mission was accomplished in Faro, precisely in the Market, where several issues were addressed within the scope of the potential for cooperation and business connection between both communities.
It was up to Henrique Gomes, chairman of the Board of Directors of Ambifaro, host the delegation, presenting the municipal company, the market and the economic reality of the county.
In the end, Henrique Gomes made a positive assessment: «the visit of this delegation from the São Paulo region represents an excellent opportunity to open horizons and make known the potential of our county in terms of the exchange of investment and knowledge».
The session was closed by Rogério Bacalhau, mayor, who detailed the commercial and business dynamics of the county, noting as "very interesting and promising the establishment of ties that allow entrepreneurs on both sides of the Atlantic to make contact with the reality each other and also to find opportunities that are sometimes lacking in domestic markets».
The ACIB Europe Mission is carried out by the Commercial and Industrial Association of Barueri, in partnership with CONECTV, and has the support of the City Hall of Barueri, Azul Linhas Aéreas, Transline Viagens e Turismo and BWTC.
