“RespiroArte” is an initiative launched by the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, which takes place between the 4th and 8th of April with the aim of developing activities that stimulate and reinforce the reading habits of students and the school and local community.
Exhibitions, theatre, poetry, photography, art and literature are part of the range of diversified events. According to the Vila Real de Santo António City Council, the “project seeks to expand reading to the community through cultural and artistic activities, promoting the active participation of students and teachers with the dissemination of works and performances prepared in a pedagogical context. ”.
“RespiroArte” is also open to the community, and it is possible to watch, in interior and exterior spaces of the city, a range of activities that will cover many artistic expressions.
"RespirArte" seeks to give a voice to students and their learning, within the scope of different disciplinary areas, which, with the support of their teachers, will be able to disseminate to the educational community and the community in general what they know and enjoy doing" , says Conceição Pires, councilor of the Municipality of VRSA with the responsibility of Education and Culture.
