Tiago Ladeira and Zoe Zamora win the Portuguese Downhill Cup in São Brás de Alportel

The Portuguese Tiago Ladeira (Miranda Factory Team) and the Spanish Zoe Zamora (4rt) were the winners, in the elite category, of the 3rd Portuguese Downhill Cup (DHI) presented by Shimano, which took place this Sunday, April 10, in São Bras de Alportel.

Tiago Ladeira (Miranda Factory Team) had already dominated the qualifying run and in the final managed to improve his record and secure the victory with a mark of 2'46”328.

Rafael Bascon (Itea Sports Team) was 2,739 seconds slower than the winner, thus finishing today's race in second position.

Guilherme Jesus (MCF/Xdream/Municipality of São Brás de Alportel) closed the podium in third, 3,207 seconds behind the winner.

In the women's sector, it was Zoe Zamora (4rt) who got the better of her opponents. The Spanish rider was second in qualifying, but managed to improve her time in the final to get the win, with a record of 3'29”646.

Margarida Bandeira (Wildboys/Riding Addiction) and Sara Ferreira (Maiatos) finished with the same time, a mark of 3”34'802, with the tiebreaker being made based on the time achieved in the qualifying heat, in which Margarida Bandeira was stronger.

Margarida Bandeira ended the race in second place, with Sara Ferreira closing the podium in third place.

In men's juniors, Spanish Daniel Castellanos (Planet Mtb) stood out, beating the competition with a time of 2”55'08. The best Portuguese was Henrique Ferreira (Municipality of Porto Moniz/CN Seixal), who finished in third position, 12,473 seconds behind the winner.

The cadet race was also won by an athlete from Spain: Francisco Mato (Showtime Bmx). In this category, the best Portuguese was
Bernardo Rocha (AEBTT/Mr.Print), who finished the race in second position, 4,599 seconds behind the winner.

The Spanish dominance continued for the juveniles, with the victory going to Marco Ortiz (Bike Motril Granada).

In the veteran categories, Miguel Gaboleiro (Individual), in masters 30, Miguel Santos (Wildpack Algarve Racing), in masters 40, José Salgueiro (MCF / Xdream / Municipality of Sã), and in masters 50 , Rui Portela (Individual).

In the female sector, Ana Luz was the winner (Bicisintra/GásMucifal/2Cycling), without competition in her category.
