Eight artists from the Algarve will make themselves known to the general public on the RUA da 35th Academic Week of the Algarve, in many other concerts in Baixa de Faro, from 30 April to 7 May.

The names that are part of the poster of the returning Palco RUA were announced this Tuesday, the 19th, at Fórum Algarve, in Faro.

Sitah Faya x Spock (day 30), Fernando Leal (day 1), Emergency Exit (day 2), Yellow Dog (day 3), Kra Z Mic (day 4), The Route (day 5), Melliflows (day 6) ) and WTDPG (day 7) are chosen.

«This stage is a 2.0 version, after many years without having one. This time, it will be in downtown, next to the Doca, with the partnership of AAUAlg and the Municipality of Faro. It is with joy that we accept this challenge, as we are the radio station that broadcasts Portuguese music the most. We have high expectations with this novelty and we hope that next year it will happen again», said Alexandre Moura.

The return of this stage aims to liven up the city center after work hours, develop the economy and bet on the Algarve artists that are growing.

«In addition to being an event for students for students, 50% of the public at the Academic Week is non-student, so the strategy is to reach the different audiences we have», said Fábio Zacarias.

«These eight selected candidates are examples that culture is not dead and that it is very important for us to continue to invest in Algarve artists», concluded the president of AAUAlg.
