Portimão Library marks World Book and Copyright Day with various initiatives

World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated on 23 April

To commemorate World Book and Copyright Day, which takes place on April 23, the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library, in Portimão, will promote three initiatives that combine oral narration, in prose and verse, with music and animation.

The first initiative starts at 15:00 pm and will be the solo session with concertina entitled “Contatininhas”, in which Luís Carmelo will sing stories that explore verse and prose, presenting a careful and diverse vocabulary, at the same time that he will propose games of repetition, parallelism and anticipation.

At 18:00 pm, “Stories in the sand – The Last Winter” begins, by Fernando Guerreiro and Pilar Puyana, «which will reveal how in every grain of sand there is a story stored and that, when many grains come together, exciting and surprising narratives emerge. ». This is a show of oral narration, sand animation and music, where various environments are created from an original story by Pilar Puyana with an original soundtrack by Elísio Donas (Ornatos Violeta) and Jorge Benvinda (Virgem Suta).

Finally, starting at 21 pm, Luís Carmelo and Pilar Puyana will present a Story Session.
