Loulé has already chosen its representatives for the National Reading Contest

National final will be organized by the Municipal Library of Vila Real de Santo António

The selection of students from the municipality of Loulé for the inter-municipal phase of the 15th National Reading Contest took place in an online session.

The competition is aimed at students in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd cycles of basic and secondary education, with a view to stimulating reading taste and habits and improving reading comprehension.

This year, those qualified in each of the 16 Algarve municipalities will compete for a presence in the national final at a time organized by the Vila Real de Santo António Library.

From the 1st cycle of Loulé, students Benedita Dionísio Nobre Passos Manso (EB1 School of Vale Judeu), Nayr Beatriz Nogueira Graça (EB1 Mãe Soberana School, Loulé) and Vasco André dos Santos Cheta (EB1 Hortas School) were selected in this school/municipal phase. of Santo António, Loulé).

Íris Rodrigues Pereira (Escola EB 2,3 D. Dinis, Quarteira), Leonor Cavaco de Oliveira (Escola EB 2,3 Prof. Cavaco Silva, Boliqueime) and Maria Francisca Matos Teixeira (Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura) will represent the 2nd cycle in this test.

From the 3rd cycle, Matilde Moreira Gomes (Escola EB2,3 Eng. Duarte Pacheco, Loulé), Rita Cunha Moura (Escola EB 2,3 Prof. Cavaco Silva, Boliqueime) and Santiago Rodrigues Emídio (Escola EB2,3) Father João Coelho Cabanita, Loulé).

Finally, secondary school students Laura Orge dos Santos (Loulé Secondary School) and Vicente Alexandre Campos Cavaco (Vilamoura International College) were selected.

Ana Farrajota (inter-municipal coordinator of the School Libraries), Guida Jordão (superior technician at the Loulé Municipal Library) and Rita Moreira (head of the Library Division of the Municipality of Loulé) were the elements of the Loulé jury that chose the students who will be next month in the intermunicipal phase.

This phase of the contest had the collaboration of the School Libraries of the municipality of Loulé.
